Since his debut in 1992, Danny Wen has become one of the most influential and prolific Chinese travel writers. Combined with his superior artistic abilities as a photographer and graphic artist, he is able to provide quality and excellence for every aspect of his projects. He is talented and enthusiastic with proven experience as a published free-lance professional. He also has released 19 Chinese travel books, guidebooks and cookbooks in the past ten years and named one of bestseller author in Taiwanese / Chinese market.

Background
Danny was born on February 22, 1967 in Chu-Tung Town, Hsin Chu, Taiwan. He was graduated from the department of Fine-Art & Craft of Fu-Hsin Trade & Arts School first, he went to the United States to finish his Art and Design education at Glendale Community College and Cleveland State University in 1993. After 12 years in United States, he moved back to Taiwan in 2005.
Danny has gained a great reputation as a travel writer. His travel books act not only as a guide book but also the standard guide for the latest great travel destinations making him one of the best known travel experts and celebrities.
Danny on-going personal appearances in TV shows, radio broadcasts and magazines have gained many followers. He is one of the most influential travel experts in Taiwan. He has devoted much of his energy and love to promote tourism, fine food, and the culture of World through many platforms. His profound knowledge and passion about travel are well respected and appreciated.
Besides publishing his travel books, he is one the most popular and charismatic speakers among many institutions and media. His passion of sharing his travel experience of world has been well received and the most appreciated. Since 2007, he has been invited to go to universities and travel related institutions to talk about traveling in the World and related topics. He is the only expert on the subject of Traveling Thailand and Culture and Creative Industry of Thailand in Taiwan.
Awards and Honors
- 2011, Danny Wen has become the first ever travel writer been invited to Office of President Republic of China (Taiwan) and discuss world travel issue with President Ma.
- 2010, Danny Wen has become the first and only Taiwanese / Chinese travel writer received the prestigious award, Friends of Thailand Award 2010 from The Tourism Authority of Thailand.
- 2010, March 26, Danny was invited as a special guest during “Thailand Week 2010”by Thailand Trade and Economic Office and Thailand Tourism Division Taiwan. The Executive Director of Thailand Trade and Economic Office, Mrs. Manasvanich and Danny also co-hosted a demonstration and promotion of Thai food.
- 2010, Danny was invited to do more then 300 speeches, TV programs and radio broadcasts to share his insider news about traveling around the world, and named the most influential travel writer in Taiwan.
- 2009, he was invited as a preface writer for “The Story of a Business Philosophy” by Isadore Sharp- the founder of Four Season Hotel. He was greatly honor by this and chosen among all the Chinese travel writers.
- 2008, Danny Wen published travel book Chic Koh Samui, this book brought great popularity to Taiwan and became a No. 1 destination for honeymooners in the greater China, Hong Kong area and Taiwan.
- 2007, Danny received the honor as a travel writer from Thailand Tourism Division Taiwan. He is the only Taiwanese writer who writes weekly traveling articles for its official website since.
- 2006, Danny published Best of Bangkok which is a fashionable travel book with a hip perspective. This book totally changed the image of Bangkok for the Taiwanese Market. The book immediately inspired a huge popularity for traveling to Thailand. As a consequence, people could not buy tickets during the month of June, July and August. This wave of popularity also caused Taiwan FIT traveler to Bangkok. The book has been is in its ninth printing due to its market demand. This book was a leading travel book during this year and was a great example for many travel books to follow the same layouts. Since then, Bangkok has gained great exposure and brought the unique characteristics of Bangkok to the Taiwanese people. “Best of Bangkok” was also voted as the top travel book of the year.
