His debut album is a collaboration with other budding musicians as a member of the band "The Dominant Seven." The album, on the Tapestry Records label (a division of Capri Records) is entitled "Fourteen Channels.[1]"
Daniel is known largely for his compositional work, and "Fourteen Channels" features a composition of his entitled "An Ounce of Hope [2]"
Daniel is also a member of The Trojan Men A Cappella group based in Los Angeles, and has performed on National Public Radio with the group.
Biography
Daniel is a 20 year old accomplished saxophonist whose playing credits includes: Frank Wess, Yosvany Terry, Ambrose Akinmusire, John Gunther, Taylor Eigsti, Clare Church, The Air Force Falconaires, the Thornton Jazz Orchestra, the Concert Jazz Orchestra, the Colorado All-State Jazz Band, The Metropolitan Jazz Band All-Stars, the Colorado Mile High All-Stars Jazz Band, Sam Yulsman, Brandon Bae, Cameron Hicks, Brian Wilson, and Erik Miron.[3]
His awards include the Stan Getz Outstanding Musician Award from the Stanford Jazz Festival, a merit award from the NFAA Young Arts national arts competition, as well as numerous awards from jazz festivals around Colorado.[4]
