Olympic Games Gold Athens 2004 4x200 m freestyle World Championships (SC) Gold 2004 Indianapolis 4×200 m freestyle Daniel "Dan" Ketchum (born October 7, 1981 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is a former American swimmer. Ketchum won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. He swam for the University of Michigan during his collegiate career. Prior to the he swam for the Cincinnati Marlins club and Sycamore High School (Cincinnati, Ohio). While swimming for Sycamore High School he won six individual Ohio State Swimming Championships: 1998, 1999, 2000 - 200 yd. and 500 yd. Freestyle events [1][2].
He assumed the role of head coach of the swim team at Loveland High School (Ohio) starting in the 2009-2010 high school swim season. During his first season as head coach he led the Tigers to their best results in history at the OHHSA Swimming and Diving 2010 Championship Meet where the Boys finished 7th overall and the Girls finished 14th overall.
