Todd Pearson (born 11 November 1977) is an
Australia nswimming champion, who was born in Geraldton,Western Australia . He started swimming on the advice of a doctor treating his asthma. Pearson was vice captain ofHale School in 1994 where he spent time in Faulkner House And St George House.He is no stranger to the Olympics. After swimming the heat of the 4 x 100 at the
Sydney 2000 Olympics , Pearson was a spectator for the final, when the Australians set a world record beating the US team for the first time in Olympic history. He went on to swim in the final of the 4 x 200 withIan Thorpe ,Michael Klim , andBill Kirby . The Aussies led from start to finish, setting another world record and achieving every boy's dream of winning gold for Australia. Pearson was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for contribution to sport for this effort. Since Sydney in 2000, Todd has been busy in the pool winning gold once more at the Pan Pacs and the Commonwealth Games in 2002. He was also co-captain of the Australian swimming team in 2001. Despite swimming more than 50km a week, Pearson has found time to complete a bachelor of commerce with a major in accounting and has worked for a multinational accounting firm.He later represented Australia in the 4x200 metre freestyle relay in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, and won a silver medal. In his spare time he is completing his BBA in Finance while living in Austin, Texas and enjoys Lone Star Beer.
