The name "Wonderland" originates with the old
Wonderland Amusement Park , which operated at the site from 1906 to 1911. The station was originally not meant to be the northern terminus, which was going to be located in Lynn; however, due to budgetary constraints, it became the northern terminus.Facts|date=February 2007 Plans are now under discussion to extend Blue Line service to Lynn [http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2008/04/06/blue_line_blues/] .The title of the
1998 film "Next Stop Wonderland " refers to this station.External links
