Suffolk Downs is a station on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's Blue Line, which runs between Bowdoin station, near Beacon Hill in Boston, and the Wonderland station in Revere, Massachusetts. Suffolk Downs station is on the part of the Blue Line that uses overhead lines instead of third rail.
The current station was opened on January 3, 1984, replacing the old Suffolk Downs station, which had lost its eastbound platform to a fire in 1976.
