Dharmaram is a village situated in Medak district with Ramayampet as its mandal headquarter. It is located about 10 km away from Ramayampet on the state highway connecting Ramayampet and Siddipet and well connected by buses and auto-rickshaws.

Its population is around 5,000 dominated by Mudirajas, which is a backward caste, followed by the schedule castes.

People

People in the village are mostly dependent on agriculture with little or no non-farm activity. Infrastructurally it is well developed with a high school, primary health center, veterinary hospital, milk collection center and a sugar factory. There used to be a branch of Manjeera Grameena Bank but an extremist group blew it off in 1996. District Rural Development Agency has been instrumental in promoting SHGs in the village. There are presently two beedi making units, which employs large number of women. You can clearly know the Telangana culture by seeing these people.

Temples

Peddamma Temple

In Dharmaram yellamma temple was constructed by gouda sangam this is the biggest temple in Dharmaram, Near this temple marriages are celebrating locals because this temple has big place There are some idols which are found near the shiva temple in the heart of the village. These are required to be shifted to a new temple which proposal is under pending since so many years.

Facilities

BC Student's hostel is for the students of primary and high school students. This hostel presently located in a private home to be shifted to its own building shown in the picture. This hostel is helpful for the students who are economically backward and belongs to other nearby villages.

The village has two bus stops. A newly constructed bus stop is shown in the picture. This bus stop comes first when we are moving form ramayampet to Doultabad. Though they are very less people who uses this bus stop, it is useful for the people of new colony near to this bus stop.

ZPHS High School

ZPHS (Zilla Parishat High School), Dharmaram is one of the oldest schools in Medak district. Recently new model building was constructed for the high school.The total school strength is 412. This school is currently having NIIT computer lab with 12 computers. In this lab, students are regularly practicing computer and internet concepts.The school is having internet facility also. *View ZPHS site

• Dhum Dham on 21st Jan 2010 at ZPHS grounds:

Dhum Dham was held by Dharmaram JAC on 21st Jan 2010 evening was a great success though it was little disappointing that there was a little clash between Rasamai and Vijayashanthi on the stage. In this village school students singing "JAYA JAYA HE TELANGANA " as a mathru githam in daily morning prayer recently they stoped MAA TELUGUTHALLIKI MALLEPUDHANDA"

On 31-01-2010 1986 10th class batch is gathering in our high school ground to this function old teachers are invited all that batch students are celebrating with full of joy
