Stratigraphic range: Late Triassic-Early Jurassic (Carnian-Sinemurian)Type Geological formation Location Region Asia Country India The Pranhita–Godavari Basin is a geological formation in India whose strata date back to the Late Triassic and the Early Jurassic. Dinosaur remains are among the fossils that have been recovered from the formation.[1][2] The Pranhita–Godavari Basin is divided in four formations, namely Lower Maleri, Upper Maleri, Lower Dharmaram and Upper Dharmaram.[3][1]
