These alliances and partnerships consist of critical musical and digital components as well as major distribution channels via Universal Music Group. It is through these partnerships that the company has been positioned to be a music industry leader in independent label arena.

Nathaniel G. Edwards founder of D-Town Music Group and EIEG Publishing (born in Cincinnati ,Ohio) was the first of two children born to the single family home of a working class mother Reather May Edwards one of Willie Edwards Sr. Twin daughters Reather May and Edna May Edwards, who had relocated to Lincoln Heights ,Ohio from Montgomery, Alabama in 1958. Edwards was brought up in a tight-knit family with strong morals, Nate Edwards is the son of. Reather (Edwards) Cross, she was sent to Lincoln Heights ,Ohio and Detroit Michigan by her dad Willie Edwards Senior to escape the racial murder of her brother Willie Edwards Jr..[1] Willie Edwards, Jr. (November 13, 1932 - January 23, 1957) was a 24-year-old African American, brother, husband, father and uncle, murdered by members of the Alabama Ku Klux Klan. He is buried at New Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Letohatchee, Alabama. Nate Edwards, dad Nathaniel Gray was a prominent black citizen of Lincoln Heights, Ohio. Nate, joined the United States Army in 1977 and spent 1 year in Korea when he returned home from Korea he was back to music as a guitar player signing a recording contract with a local record label named Heat Chart in 1979. Two years later he ended up in Dallas, Texas where he played in a few bands for a few years and it ended when he went back to school and worked to become a professional football Player in hopes of becoming rich quick, a career he followed until 1995 when he severely damaged his shoulder in training camp. The Nate Edwards footbal clinics for the Dallas youth was one of Nate Edwards biggest goals helping kids that grownup in harsh circumstances such as he, Nate Edwards with his friends like Kenny King Oakland Raiders, Rod Jones Cincinnati Bengals, Russell Carter New York Jets, Issiac Holt Dallas Cowboys, Thomas Lott OU Quarterback (List of Oklahoma Sooners starting quarterbacks) and the list goes on. Nate and his collogues donated time to train over 200 kids annually In football techniques nutrition and the importants of team. Nate went into coaching where he coached his sons in little league and at Eastern High School where he coached player like Myron Pryor an nose tackle for the New England Patriots and always passed on the skills and message he learn from coaches like Dallas Cowboys Coach Dick Nolan and Coach Jim Garrett with the Dallas Cowboys. The most important thing Nate Edwards learned from Coach Garrett Quote “We have a lot of talent here, number 1 draft picks and veteran free agents, you can fool all your friends about what you have done but at the end of the day at home when you look in the mirror you know for sure if you did your best no matter what the outcome is” Nate still lives by that, doing your best. Nate had a helping hand as a coach from some of the best, like coach Bill Arnsparger served as Coach Don Shula assistant head coach with the Miami Dolphins after the end of the 1969 NFL season, he brought along Arnsparger. In just two seasons, the formerly moribund team had reached the Super Bowl, with Arnsparger fashioning what became known as the "No-Name Defense." World championships in each of the next two seasons, including an undefeated season during 1972, made Arnsparger a prime candidate for a head coaching position. Dallas Cowboy Coach Tom Landry, Landry won two Super Bowl titles (VI, XII), 5 NFC titles, 13 Divisional titles, and compiled a 270-178-6 record, the 3rd most wins of all time for an NFL coach. His 20 career playoff victories are the most of any coach in NFL history. He was named the NFL Coach of the Year in 1966 and the NFC Coach of the Year in 1975. His most impressive professional accomplishment is his 20 consecutive winning seasons (1966–1985), an NFL record that remains unbroken and unchallenged. It remains one of the longest winning streaks in all of professional sports history. Coach Dennis Green Green's best season in Minnesota was in 1998, when the record-setting Vikings finished 15–1 and set the NFL record for most points in a season (since broken by the 2007 New England Patriots). However, the Vikings lost in the NFC Championship Game, 30–27 to the Atlanta Falcons in overtime. Prior to Tony Dungy's victory in Super Bowl XLI, Green's 1998 season was the most successful season record ever by an African-American coach in the NFL. Despite compiling a record of 97–62 in the regular season with the Vikings, Green was unable to reach the Super Bowl. Last but not least Coach Vince Tobin Tobin was hired in 1994 to be the defensive coordinator of the Indianapolis Colts by his brother Bill Tobin, the teams acting general manager, He left the team following the 1995 season and former head coach of the Arizona Cardinals. He is currently a special assistant to the Green Bay Packers, All was a big inspiration for Nate Edwards path to success and the way he focus on doing the right thing and guiding other.

[[Nelson "Jack" Edwards]], 1917–1974, was Vice President of the UAW (United Auto Workers), and a founder of CBTU, the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists. Nelson "Jack" Edwards United Auto Workers VP was born in 1917 on a farm in Lowndes County, Al. In 1937 he moved to Detroit and worked at the Chrysler plant, where he became active in the local union. He was elected UAW Union steward to represent workers in Chrysler's Foundry plant. He was laid off from Chrysler in 1941, and later obtained a job at the Ford Lincoln Plant on Detroit’s west side. Immediately, Edwards became active in his new union, Local 900, at that time freely-recognized by the Ford Motor Company. He served on the local’s education, citizenship, and by-laws committee and in 1944was chosen to be chairman of that committee. Jack was involved in the civic and political life of Detroit, the State of Michigan, as well as the Nation for many years where he made substantial contributions. Nelson Jack Edwards, 57, the first black man to become a vice-president of the UAW and long-time civil rights champion, was killed by a gunman, November 2, 1974. Nelson Jack Edwards was silenced, but his achievements are monumental and continue for all to emulate and to build on. Those who were members of Local 600's General Council had the privilege of working with Edwards for the betterment of mankind. In the month of March 1975, a special memorial was held in honor of the late UAW Vice President and Foundry Department Director.
