LinnaeusCypraecassis testiculus, common name the reticulated cowry helmet, is a species of large sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Cassidae, the helmet snails and bonnet snails.[1]
There is one subspecies : Cypraecassis testiculus senegalica (Gmelin, 1791)

Distribution
This species can be found on rocky shores in the Atlantic Ocean (Angola, North Carolina to Northeast Brazil), the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean Sea and the Lesser Antilles.
Description
The maximum recorded shell length is 85 mm.[2]
Habitat
Minimum recorded depth is 0 m.[2] Maximum recorded depth is 60 m.[2]
