Couzens Bay

Couzens Bay (80°35′S 160°30′E / 80.583°S 160.5°E / -80.583; 160.5) is an ice-filled bay about 10 nautical miles (18 km) long, entered between Senia Point and Cape Goldschmidt on the west side of the Ross Ice Shelf. Named by the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (NZGSAE) (1960–61) for Lieutenant Thomas Couzens, RNZAF, who lost his life in a crevasse accident near Cape Selborne on November 19, 1959.
