The 2007-2008 Coupe de la Ligue began on August 14, 2007. The final was held on March 29, 2008 at the Stade de France. The defending champions were Bordeaux, who defeated Lyon 1-0 on March 31, 2007. The defending champions were eliminated from the competition on September 26, 2007 by Metz. The 2008 Coupe de la Ligue champions are Paris Saint-Germain , who defeated RC Lens 2-1 to claim their 3rd Coupe de la Ligue trophy and also receiving a place in the UEFA Cup.
