- Core synchronism
-
Core Synchronism is a holistic alternative medicine system developed by Dr. Robert Stevens [1]. It has roots in Dr. Randolph Stone's Polarity therapy and the Cranial Osteopathy work of Andrew Taylor Still and William Garner Sutherland and asserts that the movement of cerebrospinal fluid is important for health and that the Ayurvedic concept of the subtle body exists.
Contents
Underlying Principles
- The movement of cerebrospinal fluid is related to the expression of the conscious life principle in the same way that the tidal movement of the ocean is related to the moon.[2]
- Physical and energetic systems in the body have optimal and innate pulses and rotational directions, which when balanced, restore health.[citation needed]
- These pulses and rotations are examined, palpated, altered and brought to balance using sensitive and focused awareness.[3]
- The human organism comprises a physical body, an etheric body or subtle body, an emotional or astral body, a mental or causal body, and a conscious life principle.[4]
View of Healing and Role of Therapist
Core Synchronism practitioners are not healers.[5][6]
Research
Research and testing on core synchronism has been carried out primarily by advocates or practitioners, and most evidence is anecdotal. There is no scientific evidence for the efficacy of the technique or its underlying ideas.
