Contactless Atmospheric Pressure Ionization

Contactless Atmospheric Pressure Ionization

Contactless Atmospheric Pressure Ionization (or "Contactless API") is a technique (an ion source) used for analysis of liquid and solid samples by mass spectrometry. Contactless API can be operated without an additional electric power supply (supplying voltage to the source emitter), gas supply, or syringe pump. Thus, the technique provides a facile means for analyzing chemical compounds by mass spectrometry at atmospheric pressure.
