Prior to turning professional, Bostock attended the Bemidji State University where he played four seasons with the Bemidji State Beavers men's ice hockey team which competed in NCAA's Division I in the College Hockey America (CHA) conference. In his third year (2007-08) Bostock was named to the CHA First All-Star Team.
