History
Club Atlético Provincial was founded on 25, May, 1903, in Rosario as an association football club. The club would become multi-sports with the creation of an athletics section seven years later.
Rugby would follow suit in 1928. That same year Provincial would become one of the founding clubs of the Unión de Rugby de Rosario.
Rugby
Although C.A.P. has played at the highest level of Rosarino rugby for a fair number of years, the club has been overshadowed by Rosario rugby's powerhouses: Duendes, Jockey and, to a lesser extent, Universitario and GER.
However, in recent years, the club has achieved some success, winning the Torneo Regional del Centro in 2009.
The club still remains one of the best in the province and is one of the five rosarino clubs who take part in the inter-provincial Torneo del Litoral.
