Torneo del Litoral

The Torneo del Litoral is an annual rugby union competition in Argentina. The competition involves clubs from Rosario, Santa Fe and Entre Ríos, and is one of several regional competitions held in Argentina every year.

The 21 teams are split in to two divisions, the Zona Campeonato and Segunda División, the first made up of 12 teams, the second of 9 teams. In 2007, Provincial lost a relegation playoff toParaná Rowing, and therefore will play in the Segunda División in 2008. Their place will be taken by Segunda División champions Charoga.

First Round

The first round consisted of a home "or" away round-robin tournament. The 12 teams were then split into 2 pools of roughly equal strength, teams seeded an odd number were placed in Zona 'A', even numbers put into Zona 'B'. Jockey Club were seeded first. The second round also consisted of a home or away, round-robin set-up within each pool.
