History
For more details on this topic, see Club Atlético Estudiantes de Paraná.The club was founded on 5 May 1905 as a football club. In 1932, football became professional in Argentina. Club Atlético Estudiantes, who wanted to remain amateur, decided to abandon football and to switch to rugby, among other sports.
Along with Club Tilcara and Paraná Rowing Club, CAE is one of the few clubs from Entre Ríos Province that take part in the Torneo del Litoral.[2]
Litoral rugby has traditionally been dominated by clubs from Rosario and to a lesser extent Santa Fe. Nevertheless, CAE have managed to hold their own and play at the highest level of Litoral Rugby's league system.
