Clinus venustris, known commonly as the Speckled klipfish in South Africa,[2] is a species of clinid in the genus Clinus.[3] It is a common[4] subtropical blenny found from Namibia to South Africa, in the southeastern Atlantic Ocean.[3] It was named by J.D.F. Gilchrist and W.W. Thompson in 1908,[5] and can reach a maximum length of 12 centimetres.[3] Blennies in this species feed primarily off of amphipods, isopods, mysids, and echinoderms.[6]
