Muraenoclinus dorsalis, known commonly as the Nosestripe klipfish in South Africa and the United Kingdom,[2] is a species of clinid, and the only species in the genus Muraenoclinus.[3] It is found from Namibia to Natal, South Africa, in the southeastern Atlantic ocean.[4] It was named by Pieter Bleeker in 1860,[5] and can reach a maximum length of 10 centimetres.[4] Female blennies in this species give birth to live young.[6]
