The Colorado 2007-2008 School Accountability Report lists Clear Creek High School as 'high' for overall academic performance on state assessments.[2]
Contents
History
Prior to 2002, Clear Creek High School was located in Idaho Springs, in the building that housed both the high school and Clear Creek Middle School. After the construction of the new high school on the top of Floyd Hill near Evergreen, Colorado, the middle school and high school were separated. In January 2009, however, the Clear Creek County School Board decided to move the middle school back in with the high school due to financial concerns.[3] The middle school merged with the high school into the new building in Fall 2009.
Faculty
Clear Creek High School employed 16 full-time and 7 part-time teachers during the 2007-2008 academic year, having an average of 12 years teaching experience.[4]

Clear Creek High School is a 3A classified athletic school
Mock Trial
The varsity team came in second place in the regional tournament in February 2008 and came in twelfth place at the state tournament.[5]
We the People
We the People... The Citizen and the Constitution is a national civic education program coordinated in Colorado by the Center for Education in Law and Democracy (CELD).[6]
River Watch
Clear Creek High School has a River Watch group. According to their website, "River Watch is a statewide volunteer water quality-monitoring program operated by the non profit 501©3 Colorado Watershed Network in cooperation with the Colorado Division of Wildlife."[7]
Music and Theater
The Clear Creek High School band consists of approximately 26 people—4 flutes, 6 clarinets, 3 saxophones, 1 bass clarinet, 4 trumpets, 3 trombones, 1 euphonium, 1 French horn, 3 percussionists. The band received a "superior" rating at the 2008 Colorado High School Activities Association's (CHSAA) band festival.
Writers' Club and Janus
The school also releases a literary magazine called Janus once a year, the creation of which is overseen by the Writers' Club. It contains short stories, poems, photographs, artwork, and other pieces submitted by students. These are arranged to reflect a central theme or idea.
