Claim the Throne are a Folk metal band from Perth, Western Australia, Australia.[1] In 2008 they released their debut album Only the Brave Return through independent label Prime Cuts.

2009 saw the release of their EP Ale Tales, which also featured a DVD including a music video and behind the scenes footage the Only the Brave Return release party.[2] The track 'Set Sail on Ale' was nominated for the WAM Song of the Year in the Heavy category.[3]

In June 2010 they embarked on an Australian national tour as the main support for Scottish Pirate Metal band Alestorm.[4]

December 2010 saw the release of their second full length album, Triumph and Beyond.[5]

The band has been announced as the main support for Finntroll on their national Australian tour in March 2011.[6]
