Chris Walker (born 1964 in West Yorkshire) is an English actor most notable for playing Rob Hollins, in the BBC daytime soap opera Doctors.[1]

He won the award of Best On-screen partnership at The British Soap Awards 2010, for his role as Rob Hollins, with Actress, Jan Pearson who plays Karen Hollins.

Career

Always wanting to be an actor, he made his stage debut in 1987 and did theatre for many years until landing a role in Coronation Street, playing reformed killer, Ed Jacks.[2]

He played PC Larry 'Tiger' Barton in the BBC television drama Merseybeat, and had a minor role as a fireman in the comedy series, One Foot in the Grave. He also played the role of PC Nick Shaw in the early episodes of The Bill.

Doctors

In the summer of 2009, Walker landed the role of Police Sergeant Hollins in the BBC Soap opera 'Doctors'. Rob is the husband of Karen Hollins, and father to Jack Hollins and Imogen Hollins.

In May 2010, just before the British Soap Awards 2010 he appeared on ITV's This Morning alongside Doctors regulars; Elisabeth Dermot-Walsh, David Sturzaker & On-screen wife Jan Pearson.

Personal life

Born in 1964 in Yorkshire, Walker lives with his girlfriend, Sharron, in a converted railway station. He has two children from a previous marriage, and collects cookery books. He is also a Supporter of Sheffield Wednesday FC.
