Dr. Merton Johnson (1988–93)The Chippewa Valley Symphony is an American orchestra based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Nobuyoshi Yasuda, a music professor at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, teaches violin and conduct the UW-EC Symphony Orchestra and the Chippewa Valley Symphony. He has been the music director since 1993.[1][2]
The Chippewa Valley Symphony performs a wide variety of music each season. The four season concerts feature several guest artists, a young artist competition winner, and classical music presented around a theme. In addition to the season concerts, the Symphony presents a Pops concert in the fall and a free concert in February.[3][4][5]
