1977-2009

Janardan Paswan of RJD won in the 27 Chatra assembly constituency defeating Subedar Paswan of BJP in 2009.[3]Satyanand Bhokta of BJP defeated Janardan Paswan of RJD in 2005 and 2000. Janardan Paswan representing JD defeated Mahendra Prasad Singh Bhokta of BJP in 1995. Mahendra Prasad Singh Bhokta of BJP defeated Shiv Jagat Ram of [[Indian National Congress] in 1990 and Nand Kishore Prasad of Congress in 1985. Mahesh Ram of Congress defeated Biku Ram of BJP in 1980. S. Ahmed Sabr of Janata Party defeated Prajapalak Nath Singh, Independent in 1977.[4][5]
