Five Hour Energy is an energy drink, which uses a proprietary blend of vitamin B complexes, amino acids, and approximately as much caffeine as a cup of coffee to supposedly boost one's energy and awareness without a crash [1]. Five Hour Energy uses no sugar. Five Hour Energy drinks are in the shape of a small shot, and contain approximately two ounces of energy drink per bottle. Recently, decaf and extra strength varieties have been created. The extra strength version contains more caffeine than the original.[2]
