Charitable Uses Act 1601

The Charitable Uses Act of 1601 (also known as the Statute of Elizabeth) is an Act (43 Eliz I, c.4) of the Parliament of England dealing with the definition of a charity. It was repealed by section 13(1) of the Mortmain and Charitable Uses Act 1888 (c.42) (but see section 13(2) of that Act).
