History
Inception and debut album (2005-present)
The Band was formed in 2005 by Johnny Collier, Andy Kalyvas, Chad Nichols, John Oberbeck and Nate Rockwell. In 2007, Write This Down released two self-produced EPs. Although their first EP is titled Alarm the Alarm, the original version of the song "Alarm the Alarm" does not appear on this recording. It is released on the Write This Down EP, which was released on September 3, 2007.[5][6]
After releasing two independent EPs, Write This Down signed to Tooth & Nail Records to record their first full-length studio album. Oberbeck and Kalyvas left the band prior to recording the album. Since then they have added Nick Lombardo to the lineup but have yet to find another permanent guitarist. Their self-titled album, Write This Down, was released on April 20, 2010. The band's songs from their debut album have been played on Internet-based Christian radio stations across the United States. On a RadioU radio segment, the band professed a belief in Jesus Christ.[7] Many of their songs discuss topics such as sin and transgression, with some songs mentioning Jesus Christ directly. Since the release of their debut album, the band has been touring with bands such as Blindside, The Letter Black and Project 86.[citation needed]
