The Capital Arts Children's Choir was formed in 1975 by Roger and Shannon Enns. The choir began as a small Mennonite organization but has since grown to incorporate children from all over Ontario. In 1989, a new board of directors was formed and a decision was made to base the choir in London, Ontario.
The Choir's philosophy is based on the understanding of the effects of nature, nurture, and developmental processes on psychological functioning of children through music. Rehearsals sometimes include team games along with the Capital Arts curriculum of theory, harmony and sight-singing. The Choir has also toured to Europe, Japan, Australia, and the U.S.A.
