San Gabriel High School 's OctoberHomecoming . It's noted events include a schoolpep rally Varsity Football game, and a school dance. The dates of the pep rally, game, and dance are October 17, 24, and 25, respectively.The Pep rally
As with every annual Homecoming Pep Rally, performances from the San Gabriel's various dance/cheer teams will be displayed. Most noted is San Gabriel's cheer team, drill, flag, and choreographed dance. Another San Gabriel tradition is to introduce the eligible students who were nominated for the titles of Homecoming King and Queen.
The Football Game
For the 2008 Homecoming, San Gabriel High School's football team is scheduled to play against
Bell Gardens High School , home of the Lancers. Much controversy has arisen on whether or not San Gabriel can win the game, as the past two Homecoming games resulted in losses. However, much of the student population have shown much confidence in the team, and expect a victory in the football game.The Dance
San Gabriel High School's Executive Board began to put up posters to advertise for the dance on October 6. It is scheduled to be from 7 PM to 11 PM. As with most other schools, the prices for attendance change with varying circumstances, including:
Purchasing a ticket with ASB (Associated Student Body) benefits: 10 dollars
Purchasing a ticket without ASB benefits: 12 dollars
Purchasing a ticket the night of the dance at the entrance: 15 dollars
Most of the students generally agree that the dress code is from semi-formal to formal. However, it is not recommended to go out and rent or purchase a new suit ortuxedo , as this event is not usually held in as high regard as theprom .WTH? What does Jon Ly have anything to do with this?
There is an unverified rumor as to whether San Gabriel Senior
Jonathan Ly will be asking San Gabriel SeniorConnie Chan to the homecoming dance. He recalls that: "I was probing around to see whether or not she wanted to go, and it turns out that she didn't want to go...she thought she'd be a bad date."
