New Horizon College of Engineering is an engineering college approved by the All India Council of Technical Education affiliated to Visweswaraiah Technological University. It is situated in Bangalore, 24 km from Majestic, near Marathalli.

History
New Horizon College of Engineering, part of the New Horizon Educational Institution, was established in 1970. Adding to the success of NHEI, New Horizon College of Engineering was established in 2001.
The college is located in Bangalore's IT corridor, situated on the Ring Road with neighbours like INTEL, FLEXTRONICS, WIPRO, ACCENTURE, NOKIA, and ARM.
NHCE is amongst the few colleges under the Visvesvaraya Technological University which are ISO-9001:2000 certified. According to Dataquest-IDC Survey "India's Best Technicals Schools" (dated 15 June 2008), the college is ranked number 2 in Karnataka and number 20 among India’s top technological schools. It is the youngest college to have been awarded permanent affiliation by the Visveswaraya Technological University. Only 28 out of 147 colleges have obtained permanent affiliation. NHCE was accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) within a short span of seven years.

Placements
"New Horizon has a focused Placement Cell. Students and companies are two of its most important customers. Delighting the students and companies is the mission of this department. Hence all the activities are centered for these two customers. Their customer – centric efforts have helped NHCE to retain the No.2 position in Karnataka. One of the crucial factors involved in this ranking (besides the placements of students) was the industry response. The evaluators judged the response of various corporate with respect to the colleges.
Placement Training Programs for Students

- Aptitude Training : These classes refresh the fundamental areas of mathematics and logic of the students and cover areas like – Quantitative ability, Logical reasoning, Puzzles and Verbal ability.

- Personality Development Classes : These classes are conducted in parallel with the aptitude sessions and provide rigorous training in the soft skills area.

- Technical Training Sessions: As a part of our training efforts, we conduct surveys from time to time among corporate to understand the technological up gradations taking place. We figure out the most appropriate technologies and provide the required training based on these inputs.
English Language improvement sessions are conducted for all the UG students.
Pre placement training programs such as mock group discussions, mock interviews are conducted by industry professionals at college itself.
Sports
Sports at the NHCE are played with much fervour and passion. There is emphasis on regular exercise and physical fitness. All games are supervised by professional coaches. The campus has a huge playground to play Cricket, Football, Hockey, Volleyball and Basketball. An indoor stadium with state-of-the-art facility has basketball court, volleyball court and badminton court. The Campus also has outdoor basketball court, well-equipped gymnasium. "Nirvana"-the students recreation centre offers all kind of indoor games.
