The Sydney Globalist is an international affairs magazine published bi-annually by students at the University of Sydney, Australia. It is currently staffed by 31 undergraduate students from a range of academic disciplines.

Mission

The Sydney Globalist is intended as a forum for undergraduate students to discuss international affairs at an intellectual and meaningful level. It has no political affiliation and hopes to provide as pluralistic an approach as possible. The magazine It is distributed to governments, academics, think-tanks and non-government organisations.

The Global21 Network

The Sydney Globalist is part of the Global21 network, a network of student-run international affairs magazines at premier universities around the globe. Founded at Yale University in 2005, Global21 seeks to encourage dialogue among students from distant corners of the globe, each of whom have a unique perspective on global affairs. Chapters are based at Yale University, Peking University, the University of Cambridge, the University of Sydney, the University of Toronto, the University of Cape Town, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Bogazici University in Istanbul and Sciences Po in Paris. In July 2008, Global21 held its inaugural international conference in Istanbul.

Each issue is produced through the support of sponsors, and all staff members work on a voluntary basis. The upcoming November 2008 issue is supported by the University of Sydney Vice Chancellor, the Faculty of Economics and Business, the United States Studies Centre, the Sydney Law School and the University of New South Wales Faculty of Law.
