Iad Uroboros

Iad Uroboros

The Iad Uroboros refers to a race of beings in Clive Barker's books The Great and Secret Show and Everville, known as the first two books of The Art Trilogy. The race hails from across the dream sea Quiddity in the metacosm (as opposed to the cosm, which is the reality we know).

The Iad Uroboros may be more accurately described as an enormous malevolent force than a race. It is the antithesis of humanity and looks like a swarm of darkness. Its exact nature is not fully revealed in the first two books (which is all that have been written thus far).
