List of Port wine grapes

As of 2005, there were 48 permitted grape varieties in Port wine production. The quality and characteristics of each grape varies with the classification of grape varieties making a distinction between "Very good", "Good" and "Average" quality grapes. The six most widely used grapes for Port are Touriga Nacional, Tinta Cao, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Francesa and Tinta Amarela. T.
