Roger Cook is a
Australian Labor Party politician fromWestern Australia . In the 2008 state election he was elected to theWestern Australian Legislative Assembly to the newly formed Seat of Kwinana, becoming its inaugural member.On 16 September 2008, he was elected to the position of deputy leader of the Labor Party.

Murdoch University , completing a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration degree. He was active in student politics and went on to work in a number of Labor Party MP offices including Stephen Smith,Jim McGinty and Chris Evans.
