Fritzing is a software application for making physical prototypes into actual products. Designers use a graphical user interface to make a virtual model of their "bread board" circuit. These captured design can be made into circuit boards via a data export to EAGLE printed circuit board design software. Fritzing was designed to work with the physical computing platform Arduino. Arduino is an Open Source hardware platform based on an 8 bit ATMEL chip. The ATMEL chip in an Arduino is pre-programed with a boot-loader program that allows it to be reprogrammed with the Processing programing language and without any specialty hardware.
