Pro Wrestling WAVE is a women's professional wrestling promotion based in Tokyo, Japan. The promotion was created by GAMI and Yumi Ohka in August of 2008.

History

Pro Wrestling WAVE was founded by Yumi Ohka and GAMI on July 19th, 2007, in a press conference at the P-Tech offices in Tokyo, Japan. Their main goal was and is to revive the slumping Joshi Puroresu industry. They held their first show on August 26th, 2007, at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring in Tokyo. The promotion has struggled in their first year, running shows on weekdays, while doing the odd show in Osaka or Kobe. On February 13th, [2008] , they signed Moeka Haruhi, a former wrestler with the Ice Ribbon promotion, who has since debuted, and has slightly bolstered attendance.

WAVE as a friendly pact with JWP, stemming out of booker GAMI's friendship with JWP's Commando Bolshoi, from their days in the Re*DRAG stable in ARSION. JWP has lended wrestlers to WAVE, and Yumi Ohka has wrestled on JWP shows.
