Domino Chance is a comic originally published from 1982 through 1986 by Chance Enterprises.[1] It would be later released under the Amazing Comics title.[2]
Written and drawn by Kevin Lenagh, the series only lasted ten issues in total. It was self-published by Kevin's wife Sandra Lenagh and would eventually be re-issued.
The sci-fi story revolved around Domino Chance, an evolved cockroach, and his crew (mainly a character named Arnie Zoots) aboard the space ship named The Scarab. Their adventures usually revolved around various odd-jobs they did for an assortment of people for money. The concept was explained as "The Rockford Files in outer space."
This comic was the introduction of the character Gizmo Sprocket who made several appearances in either short-medium length strips at the end of the various issues. Chance Enterprises also published Gizmo's first full-length comic before it moved to Mirage Studios, the home of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Kevin Lenagh went on to produce over 150 black and white illustrations and co-wrote a handbook of David Brin's Uplift Universe titled "Contacting Aliens."
