He was born inRiverhurst, Saskatchewan and became a barrister and lawyer by career.After an initial unsuccessful attempt to win the Durham riding in the 1958 federal election, he won that seat in the 1962 election. Honey was re-elected there in 1963 and 1965. His riding changed in the late 1960s to
Northumberland—Durham where he won re-election in the 1968 election. After serving his final House of Commons term in the28th Canadian Parliament , he was defeated in the 1972 election byAllan Lawrence of the Progressive Conservative party.External links
