Peter Evans is an English retired scrap metal dealer and a poker player, who came to the limelight when finishing as runner-up in the first series of "Late Night Poker". He currently lives in Birmingham, England.
Evans rarely plays outside the United Kingdom, but when he does, it is usually in Las Vegas. Though he does still earn well from poker including a £21,000 ($39,778) payday for a second place finish in the £500 no limit Texas hold 'em poker tournament in Walsall, England on 24 February 2005.
His most recent result was at the Euro Finals of Poker 10th Edition, held in Paris. It was a €3000 EFOP Diamond Championship Event - No Limit Hold'em. It was held from Saturday 9th - Monday 11th December. He was the only British person to make it to the final table and finished in second place winning €79,940 (£50,288). It was won by Frechman Jérome Zerbib who won just over €140,000 (approx. £90,000). He was the only non-French person who finished in the top ten.
Along with poker, he once was a well respected snooker player.
As of 2008, his total live tournament winnings exceed $300,000. [ [http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=81 Hendon Mob tournament results] ]
