Borkhausen, 1792The Lesser Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing (Noctua janthe) is a moth of the family Noctuoidea. Some authors consider Noctua janthe and Noctua janthina to be the same species. It is found in Europe and North Africa.
The wingspan is 30–40 mm. The length of the forewings is 16–20 mm. The moth flies in one generation from late June to September [1].
The larvae feed on various deciduous trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants.
