Khurma

Khurma is one sweet that is very famous among local people in Bihar. It also serves as snacks to the most household. Khurma is known with different names In bihar. It is trend in Bihar to have a synonym every 20-25 km you walk. Well, Khurma is made of wheat flour and suger. First wheat is mixed with suger and then it is deep fried on low flame and is cooled at room temperature till it is ready to eat. One advantage that Khurma has is that it can be stored for a longer period appx 2-3 months.

Khurma is also used for Prasad in many festivals and Pooja. Jyutia and Chhat is one of the most popular festivals where Khurma acts as important ingredient for Prasad.
