- List of characters in Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends
This is a list of characters seen in the American
animated television series "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends ".Main chararcters
* Mac–A bright 8-year old boy who lives with his mother and older brother Terrence. Mac almost always seems to know what to do when there is a problem. Even though Mac created Bloo, they are near polar opposites. Mac is consistently shown to be kind and responsible, as opposed to Bloo's self-centered behavior. Mac also becomes extremely hyperactive to the point of a rabid mania if he gets a taste of sugar; once in this state he will become obsessed with sugar and will seek any other source. Mac also has a mission set before him. Get Bloo to do the right thing. He is voiced by
Sean Marquette .
* Blooregard "Bloo" Q. Kazoo–Mac's imaginary best friend, Bloo resembles a simple, domed cylinder who Mac created when he was 3, which makes Bloo 5 years old. Bloo is self-centered, highly mischievous and is the exact opposite of Mac, which somewhat adheres to the theory that Bloo is basically Mac's "id" personality. Bloo likes to take advantage of the friends at Foster's and is constantly working on his scamming. However, he still has a good heart and sometimes apologises for his actions. He lovespaddleball s, even though he can't make the ball hit the paddle (he constantly insists that it's because the paddleball is broken). At first in the first few seasons, he wasn't as mischievous as he is in later seasons. Bloo doesn't read. Voiced byKeith Ferguson .
* Frances "Frankie" Foster–Madame Foster's 22-year-old granddaughter. Her parents are never seen, only mentioned. Frankie is the housekeeper at Foster's and helps keep everything in order, and serves as sort of a "manager" for all the imaginary friends. In spite of Mr. Herriman's fussiness and fixation with rules and cleanliness (which causes her tremendous stress), she is usually very friendly and easy-going. And though she may seem somewhat like a surrogate mother to Mac, she is more accurately described as a "big sister" to the imaginary friends. She is voiced byGrey DeLisle .
* Mr. Herriman–Mr. Herriman is a man-sized, bipedal, rabbit imagined by Madame Foster herself. He is often seen wearing a tuxedo coat and a stovepipe hat, as well as a monocle over his left eye (though it periodically changes eyes, depending on which way he faces). He is in charge of the house (the "President" of Foster's). Mr. Herriman is extremely strict about the house rules (or just politeness and order in general), and is often found punishing Bloo for his various misdemeanors. It was revealed in one episode that the reason Mr. Herriman is so hard on Bloo is because he feels that, given that he is allowed to stay at Foster's even though he still has an owner, he has already broken one of the Main rules of the house. He is terribly fond of his creator Madame Foster, harboring great respect and loyalty to her, even at her most prominent levels of unabashed pep and energy. He is voiced byTom Kane .
* Madame Foster–The founder of the Foster home, Madame Foster is elderly, but she has a lot of spunk and enjoys life to the fullest. Her imaginary friend is Mr. Herriman, who she imagined when she was a child and never gave up. She is voiced byCandi Milo .
* Wilt–Wilt is a tall, red imaginary friend with a stubby left arm and a crooked left eyestalk (which he describes as "wonky"). However, in "Good Wilt Hunting," it is discovered that he was not always this way -- he was injured in a fateful accident during a basketball game, leaving his arm crushed and injuring his eye. Wilt exhibits consummate good sportsmanship, which he applies to every part of life he can. He is extremely courteous to a fault (he's often willing to perform "anything" asked of him, even if he has to go entirely out of his way to do so), and apologizes (with "Sorry") almost constantly. He is cool and collected, but on rare occasions can be moody or short-tempered. His name is an homage to NBA starWilt Chamberlain . Wilt was shown to be created by Jordan Michaels, a basketball star, a homage toMichael Jordan . He is voiced by Phil LaMarr.
* Eduardo–Eduardo is a loud imaginary protector friend who speaks with a considerable Spanish accent. He sports enormous horns, purple fur, long fangs, spade tail, skull buckle, grey pants and weighs more than 500 pounds. Despite his large size, overwhelming strength and menacing demeanor, Eduardo is quite docile and compassionate, and is scared of almost everything, but can be ferocious if angry or in the circumstance that danger befalls his friends. Eduardo has a fondness for potatoes. His creator, Nina Valerosa, is now a police officer. He is voiced byTom Kenny .
* Coco–Coco is a bird-airplane-palm tree friend who can only speak or write the word "coco" at various speeds and different emphases. A talent unique to her is her ability to lay small plastic easter eggs containing a plethora of objects from customized baseball cards to money, seemingly at will. Mac, Bloo, Eduardo and Wilt can understand what she is saying, and often translate for her. Despite her helter-skelter appearance and quirky behavior, she can demonstrate a perceived intelligence, principle and kindness. No one knows who her creator is; she was rather discovered on a desert island by a pair of nerds on an expedition, who treat her as their own friend. She is voiced byCandi Milo .Recurring characters
* Cheese–A no-brain pale-yellow friend who debuted in "Mac Daddy." Cheese was thought to be an imaginary friend created by Mac, but was actually created by his neighbor Louise. Cheese appears to be somewhat madcap and dim-witted, often saying incoherent or non-sequitur phrases and breaking into sudden bouts of screaming when he is frightened or does not get his way. Cheese likes fishy crackers (goldfish crackers) cereal and chocolate milk, although he is
lactose-intolerant . His named can be paired off with several other characters to make puns-of-sorts ("Mac and Cheese"/Macaroni and Cheese , "Bloo Cheese"/ the kind of cheese, and "Cheese Louise"/ the expression "Geez Louise!"). In one episode, it's implied he's analien . He is voiced by Candi Milo.
* Goo Goo Ga Ga–A hyper-imaginative young 10 year-old girl who visits Foster's. Her parents allowed Goo to name herself as a baby, resulting in the full name "Goo Goo Ga Ga." Goo always comes up with games such as Checkers and "Truth or Dare," but she does not even know how to play and Mac is the only one who notices. She is voiced by Grey DeLisle.
* Terrence–Mac's 13-year-old brother and a recurring villain. He enjoys constantly annoying Mac, and coming up with various schemes to make life hard for Mac and Bloo. Like other 13-year-olds, he participates in the Extreme-o-saur Championships, held annually in the junkyard, using Eduardo one year. However (and this is a nod to his stupidity), he literally told Mac where he was when Mac caught him sneaking a sack of potatoes out of the house. He is voiced byTara Strong .
* Duchess–(voiced by Grey DeLisle), who looks like acubist painting Dora Maar au Chat , is a "high-maintenance" friend who is so pompous and lazy that she wants somebody to open her eyelids when she wakes up. After conspiring to get rid of Bloo, she was not kicked out of the house, but was forced to stay as punishment when she aches to leave (and, to which, Frankie (and possibly everyone else in the house) also ache for her to leave). (She considered herself superior to the other imaginary friends.) She is extremely negative towards everyone, and never says anything nice to any of the other imaginary friends throughout the show, (or to anyone, for that matter). A small hint of how much everyone in the house hates her is to when she is finally adopted, Mr. Herrimen breaks a small glass box (in the style of "Break In Case of Emergency"), which causes confetti and countless balloons to drop.
* Jackie Khones is a small, green, one-eyed stick with a deep voice, provided byPhil LaMarr . He appears in various episodes usually to make quick humorous comments on current events in the episode (such as saying hello to Bloo when in hiding, or complementing Mr. Herriman on his "nice sack of carrots") or as a cameo in others. He is also a detective, with Fluffer Nutter as his secretary. He says he got into the detective business because of his missingdeviled eggs . He can also be a little airheaded and food distracts him, to a point of actually suing Madame Foster over a tuna sandwich. He saved the famous film star, Rod Tango, although how he did is unknown. His name is the same as Cartoon Network executiveKhaki Jones , except with the first letters switched.
* Yogi Boo Boo is a swami type of friend, who isgreen with the neck of agiraffe , a bushy mustache and speaks with anEast Indian accent. He appears in various episodes, most notably "Beat With a Schtick". He is voiced by Tom Kenny.
* Fluffer Nutter is a pink squirrel imaginary friend. In the episode "The Little Peas", it is shown that she is in love with Jackie Khones. Despite her very fluffy, sweet appearance, she was created by what is currently a tough motorcycle rider. She is voiced by Grey DeLisle.
* Berry–Berry is a cute, short, yet mentally unstable imaginary friend who appeared in the episode "Berry Scary." In that episode, she was madly in love with Bloo to the point of a psychotic obsession. She was prone to small fits of insanity if anyone (especially Mac) came between her and Bloo. And despite having met her before, Bloo could never remember her name, calling her "Terry", "Jerry", "Cherry", "Mary", "Cary", "Larry" and even "Heather". Whenever she had a psychotic meltdown, the string music from the movie "Psycho" was played. Berry tried many times in this episode to get rid of Mac so she could have Bloo all to herself. At the end of the episode Bloo and Mac strapped her to the world's largest rubber band, and on it she broke the record for "greatest distance traveled while strapped to the world's largest rubber band ball". Once she got untied from the rubber band ball, she posed as a rich kid with many toys, and tied up the real family. At the end of this episode Bloo forgot who she was again, until Mac referred to her as "Heather". After this, Bloo, surprisingly, said that she was a "good kid." Berry was voiced by Grey DeLisle.References
