Maltese Second Division 2008-09

The Maltese Second Division 2008-09 season (known as BOV 2nd Division 2008-09 due to sponsorship reason) started on 27 September 2008 and is scheduled to end on 10 May 2009.The champions and runners-up will be promoted to the Maltese First Division while the two lowest finishing teams will be relegated to the Maltese Third Division.The third lowest finishing team will have to play in playoff with teams from the Third Division.These teams will contest the Maltese Second Division 2008-09 season:

* Birzebbuga
* Gozo
* Lija
* Marsa
* Mellieha
* Melita
* Mgarr
* Naxxar
* St. Andrews
* Santa Venera
* Zebbug
