The Gozo national football team represents Gozo in football competitions and is controlled by the Gozo Football Association. It is not a member of FIFA or UEFA and is therefore not eligible to enter the World Cup or the European Championship. As of 28 September, 2007 the Gozo national team is a provisional member of the NF-Board. The Gozitan national team were one of the teams of the NF-Board that at a points were interested to take part in the 2008 VIVA World Cup. However in the end the Gozitans decided against to take part in the championship. Currently Gozo hold the 4th position in the NF-Board rankings with 1322 points. Recently the Gozo FA showed their interest in becoming members with the CNEF.

The Gozitan national team rarely plays any international matches or matches against other national teams. To date the Gozo national football team have only played one match, that is the memorable victory over the Malta national football team 4-3 on June 3, 1997.

The Gozitan national team is considered to be a different cause from Gozo FC even though both of them are very similar to each other since both of them represent the island of Gozo. They differ because while Gozo FC competes in the Maltese Leagues the Gozitan national team doesn't compete in any Maltese Leagues. However the squad of the national team is practically the same as the Gozo FC squad.

The Gozo national team football matches are held at the Gozo Stadium.
