Morris Albert (born Maurício Alberto Kaisermann, 7 September 1951, Sao Paulo, SP, Brazil[1]) is a Brazilian singer and songwriter, famous for his 1975 hit single "Feelings".

1973 Produces alone, a single, Feel the Sunshine that, in three weeks time, becomes a success. Signs his first contract with Copacabana Records, in Brazil, as an artist, composer and producer.

1974 Records his first album, and with Feelings becomes number one in Brazil remaining in the charts for six months, consecutively. Feelings, goes number one in South America, Mexico, Central America, South Africa and Europe. First Gold Record – Mexico

1975 Feelings, rises the American, Canadian, Japanese and Australian charts. Leaves Brazil and moves to California.

1976 Receives four Nominations for the Grammy Awards. Make appearances in American, British and European television shows. International guest star, at the Italian Festival of San Remo. Wins the Grand Prize at the International Song Festival of Palma de Mallorca, with the song, So Nice. Finishes the year with a world tour.

1977 Continues his world tour. Feelings, is still in the charts of 52 countries and his new album is already among the first ten in the American charts. Ascap: the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, recognizes Feelings the successor of White Christmas, as the most recorded song in music's history. Wins the Grand Prize at the Tokyo International Song Festival with his song, Someone, Somehow, a cut from his album, Love And Life. Concert Tour in Japan. Concerts in South America and some of them in double billing with the singer Dionne Warwick.

1978 TV Special at London's BBC, together with Shirley Bassey. Receives worldwide recognition, by almost every recording association in the world. Signs contracts for many concerts around the world, as main attraction.

1979 Another song, Gonna Love You More, recorded by George Benson in his album In Flight, gets a Grammy nomination, and gives Morris another Gold Record, in America.

1980 Releases a new album in over 50 countries. Starts to write scripts and soundtracks for movies and television. Acquires knowledge as a director in films, and television fields.

1981 Becomes a member of W.G.A. (Writers Guild Of America) and of the American Film Institute. Records a new album in Rio, with international release, promoting it in South America with a tour of concerts in Brazil and in other South American capitals.

1982 A guest in the Philippines for the first Cecil Awards, decides to stay and study the Asian musical industry.

1983-1984-1985 Builds a state of the art recording studio, the first of a kind in the nation. Arranges, directs and produces several artists for the local and international markets.

1986 In California, starts to write for a new album. Composes the soundtracks for two Italian movies: “Un Amore Di Donna”, by Risi and “Colour Fume”'. Also writes the soundtrack for the Sitcom “Good Times” for European television and records a new album in Europe.

1987 Promotes the new record on television and on an European promotional tour.

1988-1989 While in Rio, writes a song for Mina, known Italian performer, called Che Nome Avrà.

1990-1991 Divides his time, between Rio, where he continues to write, the States and Italy.

1992-1993 Builds his own recording studio and dedicates his time to the preparations of new songs.

1994-1995-1996 Receives a proposal to write the soundtracks of two films, for Columbia - TriStar: Emma, and The Greatest Shepherd Story Ever Told, accepts it, goes to Canada under contract, to finish these projects. Returns to stage with a new show called, Feelings Revival, where, aside from Feelings and other of his own songs, performs a mix of international hits. Spends a great part of his time between Italy, the States and Canada, where he records a new album.

1996-1997 Goes on with his show, Feelings Revival. Records one of his dates, and prepares a CD Live.

1998-1999 Returns to Italy. Writes original songs for a new project. Works on a production for a new show. Writes a song called, “Madre Bambina” for the 42nd Zecchino d'Oro.

2000 Writes a song called “È Gol Do Zè” that represents Brazil in the 43rd Zecchino d'Oro. Also for the Antoniano of Bologna, writes another song called “Inno alla Vita” for the production of the CD, that celebrates the Jubilee. Feelings is picked up, after 25 years, as a theme of a new Brazilian Soap. And is also, the climbing song of a CD titled “Hits Again”, released in may in South America, where will arrive at the top of the charts, with over three million records sold.

2001-2002 Records a new CD of original songs that will be released worldwide. One of the songs will be chosen to be part of a new Soap Opera in Brazil. Prepares for a tour, promotions and for a return to the stage.

2003 It’s the year of the release of his new CD, “Moods”. Performs in theatres and Night Clubs in Europe and South America.

2004 Participates at the Festival of San Remo - A new CD released in Italy and Brazil - Tour in Brazil

2005 Starts to prepare an important recording project titled “Anniversary” to commemorate the 30 years of success of Feelings, worldwide. World Tour.

2006 Continues his writing and research for the pre-production of the Anniversary project. Concert at the Colony Theatre, in Los Angeles. Performs in various TV Shows in Europe and at the Donizetti Opera Theatre of Bergamo, Italy, for the Christmas Charity Evening, in December. Starts the pre-production of a new coming Italian singer, Dilè, as a producer and arranger of her first and new CD.

2007 Spends half of the year producing in studio, and preparing for the release of Dilè’s new CD. Prepares arrangements and musicians, rehearsing for a new tour, a new CD and DVD.. …soon to come…

2008 Recording a new CD for the 50 years of Bossa Nova to be released worldwide. TV appearances in Europe and USA. Preparing for new concerts, worldwide. Preparing also for his new CD and DVD with his original songs, to be released by Christmas 2008.
