"Journal of Pain and Symptom Management" is a peer-reviewed medical journal, produced by the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, since 1986. There are 12 issues per year. It is a continuation of the journal "PRN Forum", a bimonthly journal from the same department, which was published from 1982 to 1985.

According to its website, it is the official journal of the U.S. Cancer Pain Relief Committee and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, and "provides the professional with the results of important new research and clinical information related to pain management and palliative care." Its target audience is "oncologists, neurologists, anesthesiologists, pharmacologists, nurses and social workers and others working in clinical or academic disciplines concerned with pain and palliative care".
