Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research (CORR) is an international peer-reviewed medical journal. It was established in 1953 by the Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons [1] as an alternative to the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, which was the only American orthopaedic journal at the time. The journal's mission is to disseminate knowledge about all aspects of musculoskeletal research, diagnoses, and treatment.

CORR publishes content of value to both generalists and specialists. Focus is on original articles on timely clinical issues, research articles on the latest in basic biological or engineering research on musculoskeletal diseases and a monthly "symposia" on a single topic offering the generalist reader an overview of a field, but providing the specialist current in-depth information.

Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons

The association was started in 1947 by a group of orthopaedic surgeons composed of Earl D. Mc Bride, Louis Breck, Louis Greene, Frank Hand, Duncan McKeever, and Garett Pipkin, joined by Edward T. Evans, Harry Fortin, Fritz Teal, Vernon Thompson and Theodore H. Vinke as the "American Bone and Joint Association". It strives to advance the science and practice of all areas of orthopaedic surgery.
