Colin Cameron Allrich (born 1982, Plymouth, Massachusetts), is a Los Angeles-based Electronic musician, remixer and record producer.[3] Colin's career began early on when he became part of the first wave of musicians releasing music digitally with MP3.com's launch in 1998.[4] During his early years he was known for meshing live sampling and computer sequencing using Jeskola Buzz. Currently Colin works in his Cell Sound Studio creating original productions and remixes across various styles of Electronic music. As a record producer Colin has worked with Marcos Chloca and Alejandro Cohen's band Languis producing their cover of Lightning Seeds "Pure", the b-side of the bands 7" single "Sensitive"[5] as well as working with Los Angeles based band Spider Problem. As a remixer Colin has worked on numerous projects for different labels, most notably his remixes for UK labels Lost Language[6] (Space Manoeuvers' "Stage One") and Adjust Recordings (Dan Welton's "Lisopain"). His remix of "Lisopain" was well received by DJ Hernán Cattáneo who included it in his first "Sequential"[7] mixed compilation for Renaissance Records which was distributed stateside by Thrive Records and worldwide with BMG Records.

Styles

His early work was focused heavily on fusing Industrial music and rock guitars and samples with MIDI drum patterns and digital synthesizers, and over the years this production style has carried through to his current work. Colin is most known for his moody Electronic Dance Music productions under the monikers Deeptone, The Pushers, and Consoul.[8] These projects combined traditional Dance music sequencing with modern production techniques. His "Decompression/Fuse" EP for Heavy Rotation was released to critical acclaim inside the Progressive House and Progressive Trance community with plays from DJs Nick Warren, Anthony Pappa, & Hernán Cattáneo. As The Pushers he has released "The Heart Leaks Out" with Adjust Recordings and "A Pusher's Theme" with Polytechnic Recordings. These releases again relied heavily on classic Electronica elements while adding Colin's signature darker tone. As a song writer, he penned the lyrics for Erphun's release "Paradise Cursed"[9] which were sung by mutual friend and vocalist Manik, his puncutal lyrical style draws influence from Karl Hyde and Scott McCloud (Girls Against Boys) and is mostly featured in his Slighter guise where he combines his Industirial roots with his own vocals.
