United States Census Bureau , the village has a total area of 2.2 square miles (5.8 km²). None of the area is covered with water.Demographics
As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 1,949 people, 674 households, and 512 families residing in the village. Thepopulation density was 875.1 people per square mile (337.4/km²). There were 699 housing units at an average density of 313.9/sq mi (121.0/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 97.49% White, 0.15% African American, 0.15% Native American, 0.51% Asian, 0.31% from other races, and 1.39% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.23% of the population.There were 674 households out of which 48.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.7% were married couples living together, 11.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.9% were non-families. 19.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.87 and the average family size was 3.30.
In the village the population was spread out with 34.0% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 35.8% from 25 to 44, 15.7% from 45 to 64, and 7.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 30 years. For every 100 females there were 101.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.3 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $49,338, and the median income for a family was $56,298. Males had a median income of $39,890 versus $24,671 for females. The
